American Airlines Retiree Contact Number

Posted: 10th October 2008 by Rex Brown in aviation, life

My father retired from AA about 30 years ago.

Last week he asked me to help him make a change to his monthly pension payment. He didn’t have any recent paperwork so I turned to the web to find contact info. An hour later I resorted to the telephone. 30 minutes later I was about to pull my hair out.

As huge as American Airlines is I could not believe their retirement program was so clandestine.

After a call to the local Transport Workers Union (TWU) office I got a Tulsa number for employee relations, and they finally provided me a phone number…

American Airlines Pension Plan Info Line

After all the effort it took me to find this I decided to post this number to assist any other AA Brats who may be having trouble locating this information.

Rex,THANK YOU!!!!!Thank you so much for putting the phone number in there for the pension dept. I am a former AA employee who was outsourced in 1995 and have never been able to get through to the right dept. until now. Thanks again!

I just called the number you published above and it goes to “State Street Retiree Services” not American Airlines. They transferred me to 1-800-447-2000 which is American Airlines HR Services. Finally! I got an address for correspondence.
Be advised when you call this “automated” number you will have to press 1; then 3 to talk to a rep and be prepared to give your zipcode.

I called the number you gave and thank you so much – first thing they told me was that I elected NOT to participate in the retirement program – but when I calmly told Darwin, the HR fellow, that I had all my payslips, and I do for all those years, I asked him if I should contact the National Labor Relations board, or just contact my Senator Richard Burr. Oh, and he just checked and found out that i will start getting benefits on may 1 of 2015 when I am 65.

No kidding…..I really wonder if we would be that much worse off when Red China’s boot? Workers of the World Unite! You have nothing to loose but your chains!
