Wallpaper Your World

Windows 10 has some great features. Virtual desktops, integrated VPN, wireless displays, a browser that works, etc.

But you may not have noticed the included panoramic desktop wallpaper images. Users with multi-screen displays will discover that an extended desktop no longer means a repeated background image. Extending your desktop to another monitor will show a full panorama image. Our First Cruise: Alaska Inside Passage

A 7-day cruise departing and returning from Vancouver, BC.

Booking our first cruise in 2014 proved to be more than a little intimidating. Alaska was about the only simple decision in the whole process! From there it became a swirl of choices and options– large or small ship, ports of call, cruise/tour… the list goes on. I booked it through Travelocity and happened to choose the smallest cruise ship. Happy accident! We decided on a round-trip Princess cruise from Vancouver, BC since we had wanted to visit the city anyway. It also made air travel easier than arriving in one city, and returning home from another.

Fun with Tumblr

A couple of years ago I started a photo album on Facebook called I Saw Art Today.

It started out as a repository for unusual paintings I discovered in thrift stores and resale shops. Eventually it grew to contain dozens of snapshots of strange and unusual works- sculptures, prints, etc. It seemed perfectly suited for a Tumblr project.

Tumblr is essentially a photo-blogging platform. Not to say you can’t post words- you can. But the main attraction is image sharing.

Unlike typical blogs Tumblr does not support comments. Instead users are urged to Like or Reblog a post to show their approval. By reblogging one user’s post it spreads it around the Interwebulars. Plus it’s very easy to post photos from your smartphone!

To see what I have managed to cobble together take a look at…

Colorado, Ho!

Wow.

We’re home after a week in Colorado.  It’s a beautiful place to visit and life just seems to move along at a different pace.

Most of our time was spent in the Boulder vicinity and the nearby Flatirons. I’ll share more about our trip in the near future- for now here’s a slideshow for your visual enjoyment…
